When people ask me what sport I like, I tend to talk about 2 things – Formula 1 and my love of Agility.

As a sport, it’s a very different road than your average sport on a Thursday night. Touch football, netball, Futsal (which I also love), and such are generally the team sports that get mentioned by the water cooler.

The next question people ask is – What is Agility?

To that I reply the most awesome fun you can have with a dog – ever! But really, what is Agility?

Agility News Friday – Agility with minimal equipment

Being the agility nerds we are, Jaxon and I were looking for training tips online that could help us train in any situation.

raining again…

As it’s raining, and unlikely to have a session in the yard this evening, I was thinking how I could build an indoor agility course for him.

Then I stumbled upon this great article by one of NSDTC members – Karin Bridge.

It’s a great read & awesome tips for just having fun training with your pup. Enjoy!

Discovery Mondays – Learning every day

It’s a big thing to look inside yourself and recognise the ways you can grow and better yourself. Not a lot of people do this, and I think I’ve found the secret.

Zen agility

Agility News Friday – One Mind Dogs is coming to Australia!

We’ve really fallen for the method that is blitzing the world at the moment – the One Mind Dogs method.

If you’re in Australia, now you have the chance to find out for yourself all about the One Mind Dogs method.

They are coming in April for a Seminar & workshops!

Jaxon & I are still novice level, so anything and everything really helps at this stage!

While it’s a lot of running (helping us get fit!), it seems to make sense for both handler & the dog.

If you have missed any of the information from the One Mind Dogs team, or the Agility Australia Facebook page, here it is again:

Sign up for the Seminar & auditing sessions here: Game On Dogs

If you can’t make it – here are a couple of great videos from the OMD team to get you interested!

Agility News Friday – Agility Nerds

Every Friday, we’ll post some of the cool Agility links, articles, blogs etc that we think are worth sharing.

Lately, Jaxon & I have become agility nerds. Meaning we spend a lot of time thinking, reading about, doing agility related activities.
I know Jaxon is sad every day I go to work, as it means he can’t do any training. His dad is home with him, but dad doesn’t do agility. He just throws a ball. Boring!

Do you really have to go and leave me with Dad all day?
