Another Wednesday, another move from One Mind Dogs – this time a Lap turn.
I’ve been trying out a bunch of new moves, using our training sessions to first get Jaxon used to the hand signals, then move on to the actual jumps.
I’ve been trying to record more training with Jaxon so that I can review my handling, and see what I’m doing OK at, and how I can improve.
High ten!
This week, we’ve been practicing a few OneMind Dog moves. The first one I tried was the Twist. I’m still slow and working through learning the move, so Jaxon has been very patient with me!
In the last couple of months, Jaxon & I have become absolute Agility Nerds. Pretty much now we have a structured training week, and we have as much fun as possible during the week, then celebrate by hanging out with the pack at Club & putting practice to purpose.

In following lots of puppies all over the world, and learning lots about many different styles, handling methods and simply having lots of doggy fun, I’ve noticed a lot of doggies in the snow.
We’ve really fallen for the method that is blitzing the world at the moment – the One Mind Dogs method.

Jaxon & I are still novice level, so anything and everything really helps at this stage!
While it’s a lot of running (helping us get fit!), it seems to make sense for both handler & the dog.

This week I’ve been studying the European agility method that is sweeping the world – One Mind dogs. It’s amazing everything I’ve learnt about dogs in the last 6 months through agility & obedience, but I really started to get how Jaxon is connecting with me through OMD. It’s been an awesome discovery and built on where we were in such a short time.
