We’re Back!

We’ve had an extended leave of absence from the blog, and now we’re back!

The exciting news is we haven’t stopped Agility – we’ve just been hard at it.

The back end of the year saw us focus on European handling techniques, and start to get really confident and fast!

In 2015, we will return with a full schedule to entertain and inform you.

In the meantime, Thank You to all our faithful fans who have been awaiting our return!

Here is a little something to celebrate our first year of trialling in Agility – 2014.

All the best for a very Happy New Year!

Post Goulburn Trial report

We went back to trialling on the weekend. It was a 2 day event with the Goulburn club in country New South Wales.

While the weather was slated to be freezing cold and wet, it was actually beautiful. We had cooler weather than Sydney, but not freezing. The rain held off until Sunday afternoon, and wasn’t too bad when it did arrive.

Are we there yet?

News from Holiday Camp

Jaxon’s a bit annoyed I’ve gone away and taken the computer with me. So he can’t help write the blog.

He has been sending photos and news of his holiday with his friend Coco, though, and looks like he’s having a fabulous time without us!

I’ll let the photos & video speak for themselves.

Happy weekend everyone!

Agility News Friday – the agility groove

It’s so great to hear when teams of dogs and people get their Agility groove.

Recently, we’ve had a lot of our friends & members of the NSDTC Agility Club with great success in the rings, getting their first titles, and gaining lots of new awards and qualies.

Not all of them were gun dogs – quite a few different breeds out there winning in the rings!

Congratulations to all of those who gained new titles or added qualies in February! It’s been a hard and fast start to the year.

Discovery Monday – Jaxon learns to swim!

A little while back, Jaxon & I attended summer Agility Camp with Canine Fun Sports.

It was a fun time, but the middle of Summer really got us, and one day in particular was close to 40 degrees right up to 6pm in the evening!

Swimming was fun Mum!

Well the best thing about Agility Camp is the great group of people who are there – and their fabulous dogs.

It’s been a busy Summer, and we capped it off with one last day training with the great team at Canine Fun Sports. Le & Keith worked hard to challenge us, teach us new tricks and keep us having fun.

What a big weekend! We attended Summer Agility Camp with the Canine Fun Sports team – Keith & Le.

They have a great set up at their home base in Castlereagh, and we were (OK, I was) excited to be spending the whole weekend learning more about agility!

Yummy nom noms

If I'm good I'll definitely get treats!

If I’m good I’ll definitely get treats!

We’re getting ready for Summer camp! As well as organising toys, human food, shade, and seating, I decided to try some high value treats for Jaxon’s rewards. The camp is three days long, so I knew I’d need an arsenal of treats.

Thanks to our friend 1st World Dog, we have e a great recipe book in Foodie Fridays to choose from that are tried and tested.

I chose Liver Fudge  and Kangaroo Meatloaf (I call it meatloaf as I accidentally added flour) to try out.
