June Trial report – TITLE!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you ready??

Are you ready Mum??

I imagine it to be like one of those Brazilian soccer callers when we cross the line…..”TITLEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

OK, so it wasn’t quite like that. And our title run came out of a run that could have been disastrous.

We travelled up to Newcastle for the June long weekend and 2 days of Agility for the Central Coast Combined Clubs trial.

A lovely trial with a great feel to it, and well organised.

On the first day, we had a ripper start to the day with a Qualie in JD.

Jaxon must love the mornings, as he absolutely tore around the course, and we made it clear in almost half the course time.

You can see our run here thanks to our friend 1st World Dog.

We ended up 2nd ALL HEIGHTS! which was a major accomplishment for us Novice kiddies 🙂

We are so close on Agility – literally one fault in the weaves. OK, so Mr Distraction came out to play for the AD run, and apart from the weaves, we would have had a great run.

We’ave (haha) been working on those…

ADO & JDO we picked up one fault each run, with no placings.

On the Sunday, I thought Jaxon would be tired & bored. For at least the first run of the day, it was cool enough and he was eager enough to go for a run!

Lucky for us, the first run of the day was Jumping! What are the chances!? (probably high…)

We had a great start to the day! Jaxon was not as fast as the Saturday. After a slow run, we got up some speed, and came home strongly for our Title Qualie!

I never thought we’d get our JD title that quickly – so it was a great run, lots of fun & a really pleasing outcome!

We took home 1st place in the 300 category – and we were the only Qualie for that run in 300 🙂 He even won his first trophy (a new shelf will have to go up!)

First place! With a TROPHY!

First place! With a TROPHY!

AD was the strike of the Tyre! Weaves were wonderful, but for some reason Jaxon decided going UNDER the tyre was the way to go! That was funny, but perplexing.

ADO and JDO taught me to leave Jaxon’s reward box at the END of a run, so that he goes for those, and doesn’t miss the last 2 jumps! Oh well, we had a ball!

It was a great weekend, and we even got to relax on the beach for recovery on the Monday as it was a long weekend! Style!
