Wishing everyone a very merry Holiday season!
We’re celebrating Christmas – but whatever you celebrate, have a safe, fun and joyful time!
Every year we enjoy oysters & prawns as our traditional Christmas dinner. With a great bottle of wine, it’s a perfect Aussie Christmas feast for a hot time of year!
Yesterday we had our feast early as we’ll be sharing Christmas day with the big family this year.
For our family feast, our little family of animals decided they might be getting some prawns and oysters too. good luck with that one!
If you’ve got your own sing-stake weaves at home, here is a fabulous site that sells weave stakes and weave measures.
Jaxon has been such a good boy today. It’s often hard to fit in my training, let alone his during the day, plus work.
Today he’s played ball, had some jump training and been for a walk. All he wants to do is curl up in his crate for a comfy sleep when he’s confronted with the cats.
I read the other day that the best way you can show love to your dog is taking them for a walk every day. Even more if you can walk them twice a day!
Tomorrow night we’re off to Western Sydney to do not one, but THREE jumping trials to help raise money for the Bush Fires.
It looks like it’s going to be a busy night, with 750 entries! That also means we’re in for a long night.
It’ll be interesting to see how much energy Jaxon has at midnight for our last trial. Oh, and me! Better take some tea too.
Well, it was a bit late to find out, but we discovered this week that Susan Garrett was in Australia for a training camp. Can you imagine a whole week of training with her (well, if you had a pup old enough, and got into the camp)!?
We are really enjoying the 2×2 weaves method, and I can see Jaxon is actually starting to get faster and faster through the weaves. When we watched her DVD, we could hardly believe how fast Susan & her dog Encore went (well, really just how fast Encore was!). Encore was like a streak through the weaves, and hit the entry perfectly every time.
It really inspired us to try harder on getting a bit better, even though we’ll never be as great as Susan & Encore. I recommend if you’re struggling with weave training to check out the DVD, or even read Susan’s Blog
